COVID-19

The health and safety of our patients, caregivers, and staff is our top priority, and we are taking every precaution to protect everyone during this challenging time. The PT+ team is 100 percent vaccinated and consistently trained and updated on all CDC COVID-related guidelines, which we have integrated into our daily operations. We will continue to remain vigilant and make all necessary changes as new information is released.

Our Services

PT+ offers a comprehensive range of Physical,
Occupational, & Speech therapy services

Physical Therapy

Involves a mobility assessment and a patient-specific plan to improve quality of life. Being able to treat patients in their own homes is particularly helpful, as our therapists are able to identify specific risk areas and needs. This therapy can address a wide range of issues such as:
  • Joint pain caused by injury or illness
  • Muscle weakness
  • Loss and/or limitation of function or flexibility
  • Post-operative challenges
  • Back, Sciatica, or Arthritis pain
  • Risk and/or fear of falling

Occupational Therapy

Involves a mobility assessment focused on activities required for independence in daily living (ADLs), which, in turn, has been shown in a wide variety of studies to improve outcomes – including fewer falls and injuries, lower rates of depression, and better overall quality of health for those with chronic illnesses. Your occupational therapist will work on improving your strength, balance, and pain level as it relates to activities of daily living which include, but are not limited to:
  • Dressing
  • Bathing
  • Meal preparation
  • Grooming
  • Medication management
  • Navigating obstacles in and around the home
  • Limitations related to Dementia

Speech Therapy

Involves a comprehensive assessment of speech and swallowing skills. Speech Language Pathologists work to assist patients with speech and swallowing issues resulting from disease, stroke or other neurological disorders. Conditions your Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) can assist with include:
  • Dyshpagia
  • Aphasia
  • Cognitive impairment
  • Swallowing issues
The ability to work with patients in their own homes is crucial to long-term success, as therapists are able to create specific treatment plans that address challenges that are unique to each individual in their respective environments.

About Us

At PT+, we know that patients who are comfortable in their surroundings have better health care outcomes. Based in New York with nationwide capacity, we currently serve individuals and facilities across the Empire State – including all five boroughs of New York City, Long Island and Hudson Valley.

We work directly with patients in the community, Assisted Living facilities, and Adult Care centers to create unique, tailored therapy programs that provide meaningful treatment approaches and maximize positive, functional outcomes.

Our community based Physical, Occupational, and Speech therapists design and implement therapy programs that meet patients’ specific needs as well as those of their families and caregivers. They put their skills, knowledge, and expertise to work for you and your loved ones and re-evaluate progress to ensure your goals are met.

These outpatient therapy services are covered by Medicare Part B and also by most private insurance companies. We will work closely with your medical team to identify areas of need and develop and deliver programs in the convenience of your home.
